As promised during Provincial PC election campaigning, the GreenON Fund Rebate Program has now been officially closed. This energy rebate program offered homeowners and business owners opportunities to upgrade certain aspects of their home energy systems; like heat pumps, windows, insulation, and smart thermostats to improve efficiency, reduce energy consumption and its impact on society’s carbon footprint.
What Does This Mean For You?
There are two dates to be aware of: June 19th, 2018, which is the date the program was cancelled and August 31st, 2018, which is the date by which any contracted work must be completed by.
So, if you have already signed off on a contract with us on or before June 19th, 2018, we will ensure that we have that work completed before the official cut off date of October 31st, 2018. If you have not already signed off on a contract before June 19th, 2018, then, unfortunately, you will no longer be able to participate in the program and we will not be able to provide you with service for which you would receive a rebate from the Ontario government. This is the word of those representing the GreenON Fund program. We suggest if you have any questions or concerns about upgrades you have planned or were planning on doing, you contact them directly at www.greenon.ca
We would also like to remind you that other Provincial and Municipal rebate programs, like those offered by your energy provider (Enbridge, Union Gas, Toronto Hydro) or assistance programs, like HELP and Hi-RIS are still available. Please visit the Rebates section of our website to find out more. www.tropicalinsulation.ca/rebates
Tropical Insulation would like to take this opportunity to thank those customers who chose us to perform their insulation upgrades. As government approved contractors, it was our pleasure to be able to provide such a great service. Be assured that if a similar program is introduced in the coming months, we would participate again. In the meantime, our team is always here to assist you in making good decisions about your home or business insulation needs. Upgrading attic insulation to current building code practice is still one of the most cost-effective ways to reduce your heating and cooling costs and save money for years to come.
